For more than 40 years Sarah Quill has been photographing the architecture and daily life of Venice, creating a unique and ever-growing photographic archive. Covering a wide variety of subjects, the collection is used by publishers and scholars worldwide. Her book Ruskin’s Venice: The Stones Revisited was published in 2000, and has been reprinted in hardback and paperback. A new and extended edition was published by Lund Humphries in March 2015, with an Italian edition Ruskin a Venezia: The Stones Revisited published in March 2018 by Jaca Book, Milan.

Sarah Quill’s exhibition photographs are shown in Venice and in London. She lectures regularly, principally on Venetian subjects, and is a trustee of the Venice in Peril Fund, the British committee for the preservation of Venice.
